XG Plays "DEPENDS" in LA the Night Before It's Out

XG's new single "DEPENDS" isn't officially out until Friday, Nov. 6. Los Angeles got it a day early.

The seven-member group played Crypto.com Arena on Thursday night, the LA stop of XG WORLD TOUR: THE CORE, and put the song in the set before it reached streaming services. AKUSO was in the building.

"DEPENDS" is about living with not knowing — the idea, as the group frames it, that not every answer has to be final. It comes out through XG's label XGALX alongside a second new song, "S.A.D.", with a U.S.-only CD sold through the group's official store.

XG — Jurin, Chisa, Hinata, Harvey, Juria, Maya and Cocona — debuted in 2022 with "Tippy Toes" and records in English. The North American leg of The Core opened at Oakland Arena on Tuesday; LA was its second night.

Next on the tour: Chicago (United Center, Nov. 9), Hamilton, Ontario (TD Coliseum, Nov. 12), Newark (Prudential Center, Nov. 14), Dallas (American Airlines Center, Nov. 17) and Mexico City (Arena Ciudad de México, Nov. 22).
