Los Angeles residents can now more easily follow City Council activities through a new online platform. The Legislative Management System website, launched by the city clerk’s office, allows users to view upcoming meetings, track legislation from introduction to final vote, and sign up for email alerts.

The new site also lets residents comment on individual Council Files, with submissions becoming part of the public record. According to City Clerk Patrice Lattimore, the goal is to provide a clearer view into the City Council's legislative process. The platform is designed to simplify searches across over 500,000 documents and 172,000 Council Files dating back to 1970.

This is a useful tool for anyone who wants to stay informed about local government decisions and participate in the legislative process without needing to be an expert in city hall procedures.
