Barry Keoghan Undergoes Skin-Tightening Treatment After Online Bullying
Oscar-nominated actor Barry Keoghan had his second Xerf radio-frequency skin treatment, months after addressing online abuse about his appearance.
Actor Barry Keoghan was recently seen in a social media video from U.K. celebrity facial expert Nilam Holmes, founder of Dermaspa. The video, posted on October 23, showed Keoghan undergoing his second Xerf skin-tightening treatment.
Keoghan, 34, has been working with Holmes for several years, with the expert noting his skin has “really improved.” The Xerf treatment uses non-invasive radio-frequency technology to tighten skin and renew collagen without injections. According to Variety, a face and neck session costs around $3,500, while two treatments at Holmes’ clinic total approximately $6,000, according to a web search.
Keoghan shared in the video that the treatment is “very relaxing and therapeutic” and makes him “feel better about myself.” This comes months after he publicly spoke about online bullying regarding his looks, which made him “shy away” and “not want to go outside.” Xerf, which was cleared by the FDA for U.S. use in August 2025, is also popular with celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Priyanka Chopra.
It is a reminder that even public figures face intense scrutiny over their appearance, and that self-care can take many forms, including cosmetic treatments.
