JAY-Z launched his JAŸ-Z30 tour in Los Angeles on Friday, October 23, with a concert at SoFi Stadium. The show was part of a global tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of his debut album Reasonable Doubt and 25 years of The Blueprint.

Unlike his previous stops in New York, London, and Paris, which featured numerous celebrity guests on stage, the Los Angeles opener saw more stars in the audience than performing. Notable attendees included Memphis Bleek, Hit-Boy, Brandy, Malia and Sasha Obama, and Winnie Harlow, according to Vibe.com. The two-hour concert did include appearances from Houston MC Scarface, DJ Khaled, and John Legend, who joined for the finale, “GOD DID.”

The highlight of the night was Blue Ivy, JAY-Z's daughter, who performed on piano. She played renditions of “The Story of O.J.” and “Dead Presidents,” appearing on the Jumbotron in a Rocawear jacket. JAY-Z praised her as “the most incredible” and “multi-talented.” The setlist also paid homage to Nipsey Hussle, blending “Hard Knock Life” with “Hussle and Motivate,” and included a nod to Eazy-E in “99 Problems.”

The AKUSO take: JAY-Z delivered a retrospective of his career for LA fans. Blue Ivy's performance added a memorable moment to a show that was otherwise a more focused, less star-studded affair than his previous tour dates.
