Blue Oyster Cult’s classic “(Don’t Fear) the Reaper” has returned to the charts, landing at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top TV Songs chart for September 2026. The song’s resurgence is attributed to its prominent feature in the fourth season of Prime Video’s popular series, Reacher.

The song, which first peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1976, appeared in the sixth episode of Reacher’s fourth season, which aired on September 2. According to Luminate, the track garnered 11.8 million official streams and sold 1,000 downloads in the United States during September 2026.

Reacher also placed another song on the September 2026 chart: Mondo Cozmo’s “Sweet Forever” debuted at No. 10 after being heard in the season finale. Meanwhile, the Reacher spinoff series, Neagley, also contributed two tracks to the chart, including Ambrosia’s “How Much I Feel” at No. 6.

The Top TV Songs chart rankings are compiled by Tunefind, a Songtradr company, using a formula that combines song and show data with sales and streaming information tracked by Luminate.
