The show, held at the Palais de la Femme in Paris, featured both women's and men's looks under the direction of Andreas Kronthaler.
Kronthaler, the brand's Creative Director, stated this was his first collection since his wife's passing where he felt he had truly found his way to continue Westwood's tradition of using fashion to convey a message. The collection drew inspiration from bazin cottons sourced in the Barbès neighborhood of northern Paris and a late 17th-century Cheat Jacket.
The runway show, which began shortly after 2:30 PM, was opened by Farida Khelfa. Kronthaler closed the show by kissing punk poet Stuart McKenzie, who also live-rhymed to a pumping soundtrack that included samples of Vivienne Westwood's voice. The collection renewed the house's partnership with the suicide-prevention charity Body & Soul.
Notable attendees included Jaden Smith, Heidi Klum, and her daughter, Lou. The collection showcased voluminous nightshirts made from brightly colored bazin cottons, light tulle corsetry over satin, leopard bloomers, and lightning-strike swimsuits. It also featured penis charms on golden knits, gingham bustiers, oversized pannier skirts, and frilled satin blouses, blending historical references with punk elements and varied textures like grass skirts and slashed denim.
