According to the San Fernando Sun, the council voted on October 13, 2026, to finalize her employment agreement. Kith is scheduled to begin her new position on December 7, 2026.
Kith previously served as the city manager for San Fernando, a role she took on in October 2025. Before that, she was San Fernando's interim city manager, stepping in after the former city manager, Nick Kimball, departed in July 2025. Rosemead's previous city manager, Ben Kim, recently retired.
During the October 13 meeting, Councilmember Steven Ly made the motion to approve Kith's appointment, noting that she "truly understands Rosemead," according to the San Fernando Sun. Kith expressed her honor for the trust placed in her and stated her excitement to begin work on December 7.
Her departure creates a vacancy in San Fernando, which will now need to fill three key positions: city manager, chief of the San Fernando Police Department, and director of the San Fernando Public Works Department. As of October 15, 2026, Kith had not yet formally resigned from her role in San Fernando.
