Monterey Park will host its eighth annual Monster Mash event at Barnes Park Field on Thursday, October 15, 2026. This free, family-friendly Halloween celebration is presented by the city's Recreation and Community Services Department and Bruggemeyer Library, according to coloradoboulevard.net. The event will feature carnival games, activities, giveaways, and trick-or-treating.

Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes and bring a decorated bag or bucket for collecting treats. Live entertainment is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. The Monster Mash will take place alongside the weekly Monterey Park Farmers' Market, and food trucks will be on-site. Specific vendors mentioned include Patty Meets Bun, Woodfire Pies, and Fluff Ice, offering additional items for sale.

According to a web search, the event aims to strengthen neighborhood ties by bringing residents from across the San Gabriel Valley together. Free candy will be available throughout the event grounds. Sponsors for this year's Monster Mash include Transtech, Raising Cane's, and Costco.
