Over 300 families, community partners, and government officials are expected to gather this Saturday, October 24, 2026, for the Eaton Fire Recovery Block Party in Altadena. The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony for newly completed demonstration homes, which are intended to help survivors of the Eaton Fire with their rebuilding efforts.

These demonstration homes, developed by Foothill Catalog and Williams Rebuild, serve as educational resources. According to organizers, they have been used throughout their construction to showcase various building designs, cost considerations, and methods to speed up the rebuilding process. More than 130 families are currently receiving assistance for home rebuilding through these organizations.

The completed homes, which include four residences and Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), will be transferred to Eaton Fire survivors at cost through the Greenline Project. One home will be given to a displaced family at $500,000 below market value. Foothill Catalog Foundation also provides pre-approved home designs to streamline planning and permitting for rebuilding efforts in Altadena.

Attendees at the event will include Representative Judy Chu, State Senator Sasha Renée Pérez, and Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger. Rebuilding families will have the chance to tour the furnished homes and speak directly with architects, builders, government officials, and recovery partners. The event is free and open to the community.
